As an aspiring dentist, I have received mixed responses when I explain to others the career path I have chosen.  Most are intrigued, however, some retort with, “I honestly cannot stand the dentist…no offense”.  But hey, can you blame them for this response? Contrary to what most think, babies are actually born with all of their teeth. You cannot see their teeth initally because the teeth are actually beneath their gums. Around six months or so, a baby's teeth will start to break through their gums. What is not commonly known is that you can start good oral care well before the first tooth starts to break through.
