2016-10-25T21:42:21-06:00

Welcome to our Home, where we are Demolishing the Stigma “I Hate the Dentist”. By: Rachel Baer, Front Desk Lone Tree When you walk into Metropolitan Dental Care, we want you to know that we are welcoming you to our home.  Let us take care of you while you are here! Being a new employee to the office, I have learned a lot about the ins and outs of the practice. What I think is the most intriguing part of transitioning to a new office, is having the opportunity meet all the patients.  You come in and we ask how you [...]

Thinking of Veneers?

2016-10-25T21:44:18-06:00

Do you ever look at yourself in a photo and say, "Great picture, but I wish my teeth were straighter.”? Maybe you wish your teeth were straighter.  Maybe you wish your teeth were whiter.  Maybe you wish your teeth were larger.  Maybe you want to close a gap in your teeth. A lot has been written about the power of a smile.  One old saying goes: A good smile warms hearts and opens doors.  One of our favorite smile quotes here at Metropolitan Dental Care by Phyllis Diller – “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.” It's important to [...]

My Journey Through Invisalign (Post #1)

2016-10-25T21:51:09-06:00

Thinking of straightening your teeth?  Metro Dental Staff Member Tammy Kuzara shares her experience, and lets you know what to expect. I have always wanted to straighten my teeth. My teeth were not that crooked, but the lower ones have always been crowded, and I have always thought it would be so nice if they were straight.  However, the thought of wearing braces as an adult, was unbearable!  We think of braces as something we do as a child.  Knowing now that there is an Invisalign choice to individuals who are a good candidate, is amazing! Invisalign is a modern way to [...]

When was your last Panoramic Radiograph?

2016-10-25T17:18:28-06:00

A Panoramic Radiograph (Pano) is a 2D image that captures your whole mouth, TMJ, and jaw, and even the top few vertebrae in your spine!  Pretty cool image, huh? We'd love to have you check with us on when you last had your panoramic screening.  If you're due, we can add it to your next scheduled appointment, and if you'd like to have some fun with it, we'll email it to you, have you carve a SPOOK-TACULAR pair of eyes and attach your mouth (Pano) as a part of our pumpkin carving contest as seen on our Facebook page. Your Pano is [...]

Our new employee Shawn Tipple talks about why he chose to pursue a career in Dentistry

2022-01-24T09:48:57-07:00

As an aspiring dentist, I have received mixed responses when I explain to others the career path I have chosen.  Most are intrigued, however, some retort with, “I honestly cannot stand the dentist…no offense”.  But hey, can you blame them for this response? I don't enjoy having others' hands in my mouth either. While many cringe at the thought of visiting the dentist, oral health brings me excitement. Dentistry combines scientific knowledge, hands on activity, and most importantly social interaction. I believe I speak for many in the dental field when I say dentistry is interesting because there is no greater [...]
